Has anyone even mentioned the 1988 Supreme Court Decision yet? The abortion law was struck down as being unconstitutional not because any restrictions on abortion are unconstitutional, but because the weird need-permission-from-a-committee setup that Canada had was ruled as unconstitutional. It was left up to parliament to draft new legislation on abortion that was in line with the constitution, to, you know, debate it.
